Here you will find information about my 1987 GMC Jimmy.
My intention was to build it and never sell it, but like many people, I could put the money to better use right now.
I have owned the truck since 1997 and have done extensive work in the last six years. It has not been winter driven
since the restoration, and only once and a while in the rest of the time.
It came loaded with air, tow package, power windows (including tailgate) power locks, tilt steering, gauge
package, grey cloth interior, reclining seats. Rear seat folds up or removes. It is also a factory hard top convertable.
Some of the work that has been done (cosmetic):
New fenders, doors, rockers, tailgate and guts, rear floor and x-members, complete exhaust, rubber rear floor mat, front
and rear glass, custom glass etching, door hinges, head liner, in dash tach., aluminum wheel mouldings, bug deflector, door
window rain guards, headlight covers, roof racks, rear work lights and front driving lights, American Racing Tailgunner 15X10
rims, 35" Kumho tires (rear 95% front 40% spare well worn), Decent stereo with subs, and of course, new paint.
Mechanical work:
Complete exhaust (cat, muffler & pipes), new electric fuel pump, H.D. battery, starter, alternator, rear Gabrail
shocks, and steering stabalizer, extended steel braid brake flex hoses, headlight switch, door lock switch.
Suspension is lifted 4". Transfer case is NP208. Transmission is 4 speed auto. I have not worked on the powertrain
yet and believe it is stock, rear has limited slip (which works well) Front has new Warn locking hubs.
